Metabolic pathways are critical for cancer progression as the cell’s energy needs increase dramatically. The rapidly growing cell population requires essential metabolites that can help the tumor cells divide, grow, migrate and cope with a rapidly changing microenvironment. Using wet lab and data mining approaches, we aim to better understand alterations in signal transduction pathways related to the metabolism in gastrointestinal cancers.
